Today we got straight into the ‘BIG IDEA’ – How different cultures influence who we are and the world we live
in.
What
does this mean and where could it lead us?
To start this term's unit off I let the student’s
take charge. With a bit of guidance they were away. Sorcha, Cydney, Olano and
Ashlea took charge. They asked the rest of the class to discuss, in groups, the
key words Different, Culture and Influence. Then they roved the class asking questions and
motivating. While they walked around the classroom they noted down the themes
and any new questions. They were brilliant and the information gather was
amazing.
