Sam- His cross, this represents Sam’s religion, who he is, what he believes in and is part of his identity.
Ben – Rugby trophy and the
first ever rugby game ticket. This represents Ben's passion for rugby and sport

Armari- An England t-shirt (given to him by David Beckham) – Armari is proud of his heritage, who is he is and his passion for sport
Adam- Rosary beads given to him by his second teacher. Not only is it a fond memory. It is special to him and is part of who he is
Tom –Trophy from cricket. Tom loves cricket, it is a sport which he has achieved in, it is part of who he is.
Morag- Teddy from England from her dad. Morag loves her teddy it represents not only who she is but also her personality and special qualities.
Joey- 1950s model car from his grandfather. Some lovely memories from this car a great story and it represents his family and background
James- Class photo from his old school. James is still in contact with his friends on the other side of the world. They have helped shaped James into the lovely lad he is today.
Rosa- Dutch shoes that are called clogs. They are wooden, and have been in her family for a long time. They are part of who she is.
Olano- Photo albums of him and his family. Olano’s Family is important to him, he is proud of them and they have made him who he is today.
Josh – His dog Scruffy. He enjoys hanging out with Scuffy and the relationship they have. This tells us a lot about Josh.
Dylan- Gold tortoise from his welsh grandfather. Reminders of his background, his heritage and family.
Amy- a rabbit that lived for 6 years. It was also the first pet her family had ever got. Lovely memories and something that played a large part in her life
Rory- A whale bone carving- made by his mum. Part of Rory’s identity, family is special to Rory and an important part of who he is
Maia – Her soccer trophies from all six years she has played. Shows her love for sports and her winning attitude.
The purpose of
this exercise was for students to understand that everyone is unique and has
something worth sharing. Their background, special qualities and uniqueness add
to the culture of a classroom.
