Inquiry homework provides more rich discussion and knowledge sharing

Inquiry homework comes in on Friday.
After a full class discussion about the challenges students had this week in sourcing information and the importance of scanning for keywords.
We presented our inquiry homework in groups. In each group one student presented their findings. Then the others got the chance to make connections with their own work or make additional comments.

I am so pleased with the quality of inquiry and the huge range of information that students understood and could articulate.  Well done Te Motu!

Some students went the extra mile this week. Maps and distances of where around the world food in their cupboards came from, an article about the 100 mile diet, list of distances from Wellington, ‘food mile’ diagrams and a food recall notice about a product that did not have the correct information on the packaging is being recalled.
