Persuasive Writing.

Today we moved on from Character Writing and started focusing on Persuasive Writing.

Today’s Learning Intention was;

To understand why we are learning about and exploring ‘Persuasive writing’

Focus questions included:

·       What does persuasive mean?

·       Why do we need to be able to persuade?

·       Why are we learning about persuasion?

We brainstormed, answered and discussed the above questions and looked at the topic of persuasion in relation to real life situations. E.g. Advertising, getting a job, convincing someone not to do something.

We finished off with a simple writing task, which was to come up with as many reasons why a pencil is better than a pen.

Hard at work. A very productive session.
